Monjayaki, a dish that looks identical with the
Omomiyaki. It can be found mostly in Tsukishima, Tokyo where been said the dish is came from. There's even a street selling mostly
Monjayaki in this part of the town called
Nishinaka Dori.
During my recent visits, I managed to tasted the Monjayaki at one of the restaurant here.
The interior of the restaurant.
The a small teppan on every table.
Even the how to cook and eat Monjayaki guide.
Before we start our main course, we had the octopus Teppanyaki.
A generous size of the octopus.
The raw ingredients of the Monjayaki.
Start by stir frying all the raw ingredient.
Then making a "hole" in the middle.
Pour in the mixture and mix it well.
Finally cook it to your own liking. I like mine slightly charred and crispy.
Appearantly the restaurant that I went to is established in 1983.
And it seems like is very famous among the local, as by the time I finished my food, the restaurant is getting packed.
