Hungry Ghost Festival in Penang,
Malaysia only means one thing, the colourfull effigies of the Tai Su Yah or Phor Tor. Here I will show some of the Phor Tor that I have come across years back.
The Phor Tor at Chew Jetty, Georgetown Penang.
The same one in Chew jetty after they turn off the light. Glow in dark
Cintra street, Georgetown Penang
Lorong Kinta, Georgetown Penang
Lebuhraya Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu flat area
Lorong Baru/New Lane, Georgetown Penang
Jalan Pintal Tali, Georgetown Penang
Jalan Kuala Kangsar, Georgetown Penang
Lorong Kampung Malabar, Georgetown Penang
Also in Lorong Kampung Malabar
Lebuh Presgrave, Georgetown Penang
Another in Jalan Kuala Kangsar
Lost track of the location
Another shots from Jalan Pintal Tali
Somewhere in Lebuh King or Lebuh Queen, very unique as the effigies is placed inside a society hall instead of in open air tent.
Lastly from Pekan Lama, Sungai Petani Kedah.
**Some of the address or location might be wrong due to I did not written down the location when I took the photos few years back. All the location that I given is purely based on what I can remember.**
